Their mission directives from General Douglas MacArthur are to infiltrate the North Korean army command centre in Incheon and secure the mine chart; to kidnap ‘Ryu Jang-choon’ the second highest ranking North Korean officer and; on D-day, to light the Palmido light house as a signal to the main UN forces.

Despite growing suspicion from the clever tactician Commander Lim Gye-jin of the North Korea’s ...People Army, Jang and his team successfully carry out their mission with the help of an underground information network.

Then one day, their true identity is revealed….

Liam Neeson is one of my favourite cool actors.. but I think this film doesn't bring out much of his good scenes in acting. More focus is on the Lee Jung-Jae and Lee Bum-Soo. Some parts may be draggy, especially at the beginning. But its still quite an interesting movie to catch. The war effects and scenes are really nice and real. Do catch it in cinemas from 15th Sept 2016 onwards! :)

Wisma Atria whets your appetite with six new dining options
Opening in the last quarter of 2016, one of the most exciting developments in the F&B scene, is Picnic, a 10,000 sq-ft next-generation communal dining restaurant, located at Level 3. Designed to recreate the energy and vitality of outdoor dining in a dynamic ever-changing urban park within the mall, diners are promised a fully immersive dining experience. Picnic provides a range of international cuisines, including American, French, Italian and Japanese. In addition, it will also feature an in-house third-wave coffee bar and cocktail bar.  Picnic  is the latest brainchild of owner, Cheng Hsin Yao, creator of the critically acclaimed Omakase Burger brand, which is located on Level 1 of the mall. 
 
Joe & the Juice makes its debut in Orchard Road at Wisma Atria this month. Serving an array of organic  coffee, freshly made fruit and vegetable juices and rye bread sandwiches, this contemporary Danish cafe  offers a funky and healthy-packed experience to shoppers grabbing a breakfast bite or a lunch-to-go.  
 
Fans of the popular bubble tea brand, Gong Cha, may now set their sights on its newest outlet at Wisma Atria, opening in September at Basement 1. It will join the ranks of other food cluster favourites, such as Llao Llao, Ben's Cookies, Garrett popcorn and Famous Amos. 
 
There are more reasons for dessert lovers to celebrate this December, as Fruce, a coconut-based dessert-in-a drink shop, and Eyescream and Friends, a new-to-market Spanish ice cream brand, open at Basement 1. Fruce, which is created from the combination of the words ‘Fruits’ and ‘Fusion’, amalgamates tropical fruits with coconut as the key ingredient, favourite local desserts and homemade toppings, to create their signature series of beverages.  
 
As the name suggests, Eyescream and Friends will offer a visually appealing ice-cream eating experience. The ice-cream, which comes in a variety of flavours, including vanilla, chocolate, cheesecake, yoghurt, mango and strawberry, is created in cylindrical solid blocks that are frozen at -25 degree Celsius. The blocks are trimmed using a specific Asian style of shaving the ice-cream, in order to obtain layers of “shaved gelato”. As a final touch, two googly sugar candy eyes are placed on top of the “eyescream”.
 
Keep an eye on for Samurice, which offers delicious Onigiri and Bentos using specially selected rice, seaweed and salt produced and imported from Japan at the basement food cluster in January 2017. Samurice will join the family of Japanese cuisine, Kotobuki Japanese Izakaya and Japan Food Town that are currently found in Wisma Atria.

UK shoe brand, FitFlop, has opened their new store at Level 1 to offer exciting ergonomic sandals, shoes and boots using world-class design, a splash of fashion and a continuous innovating mix of beauty, brains and top-notch biomechanics. Now shoppers have one more worthwhile destination to satisfy their penchant for footwear!
 
Ladies searching for trendy gym apparel can pop by Vivre Activewear when it opens its third store in September at Basement 1. Vivre’s creations are specially designed for the Asian body frame and uses moisture-wicking fabrics to keep you fresh while working out. Its chic and high performance designs have also won awards.  
 
For a touch of beauty indulgence, ladies can spend some me-time or BFF-time at Qoosh Nail Spa, a new manicure and pedicure service, which has opened for business at Level 3.

Spicy Thai - Thai Cafe [Food Review]

 
Had a great food tasting session at the Spicy Thai - Thai Cafe recently!
Its probably my first Thai Food Tasting and it was really awesome..
Thai food are usually nice and I love Thai food! :)
 
This Spicy Thai - Thai Cafe is located at the corner of a HDB Block.
Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe was founded by homegrown businessman, Ron Poh five years ago. With the success of its first outlet at Jalan Besar, the second shop sprouted at Aljunied Avenue 2 in 2013 which is this shown in the picture above & below.

This is in fact quite spicy .. so be careful if you can't take too spicy stuffs.
But its nice, I like it! :)

This is pretty special and all of us like it.

This crab I would say its really unique.. because of the taste of basil leaves.. and its my first time eating crabs with taste of basil leaves and it tasted well. Crab meat was really fresh and alot... Totally worth it!

 
 
Thai Walking Cat Fish with Spicy Lemon Soup $35
This Thai Walking Cat Fish is very nice too.. the soup can be really spicy, so be careful!
 

 
These were the entire dishes we had that day... It was really ALOT! But we all managed to finish it!
So you can imagine the food was so nice! Would be good to bring your family along to have a Thai feast! :)

Its a long approx. 2 hrs 35 mins show (inclusive of 20 mins interval), but we truly enjoyed it throughout. Its very enjoyable to sit back and watch the show after a day of tiring work or even its good for a weekend relaxation show with your love ones.. The show was very entertaining.. and the appearance of the dog which was very obedient and blended well into the show. Annie was able to influence the people around her in the show, including the president, Roosevelt. Watch the show to discover more for yourself.. bring your love ones along to catch it before it ends on 11 Sep 2016!

《危城》CALL OF HEROES [Movie Review]

 

 
 
SYNOPSIS

In the early Republic of China, the whole country was trodden by incessant civil wars. The new ruling warlord Cao Ying sent his son Cao Shaolun to take over the remote village Pucheng. Cold-blooded and temperamental, Shaoun killed the innocents and orphans. The guardians of Pucheng arrested him and the guardian commander Yang Kenan planned to execute him after the trial.
 
Zhang Yi, a colonel under warlord Cao Ying, learnt of what happened and came to Pucheng demanding the release of Shaolun. Zhang came across Ma Feng, who learnt martial arts from his mentor. Ma witnessed the outrageous behaviour of Shalolun and refused to take Zhang’s side. He was determined to assist Yang to keep Shaolun behind bars.
 
Zhang failed to rescue Shaolun. Cao’s army invaded Pucheng and caused numerous casualties and deaths. The brave heroes swore to fight the battle to protect their homeland.

Sean Liu as Yang Kenan
 
The guardian commander in Pucheng village with great wisdom yet acting dumb, a family-oriented man who fought for justice and righteousness.

Lau has accumulated a number of memorable roles by working with some of the best filmmakers in Hong Kong including Derek Yee, Benny Chan, Johnnie To, he has won Best Actor Awards at Hong Kong Film Awards in 2007 for MY NAME IS FAME (2006) and in 2015 for OVERHEARD 3 (2014), and at Taiwan Golden Horse Awards in 2012 for LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (2011).
 
 
Louis Koo as Cao Shaolun
 
Emotionally dysfunctional, arrogant and cruel, a commander at Cao’s army. He is an extreme autocrat who always get his way.
 
Koo is a notable Hong Kong actor and one of the most popular male idols in South East Asia and China, he has participated in many acclaimed films including ELECTION (2005), ROB-B-HOOD (2006), PROTÉGÉ (2007), OVERHEARD (2009), OVERHEARD 2 (2011), THE WHITE STORM (2013).

 
Eddie Peng as Ma Feng
 
Playful and carefree, once an armed escort with exquisite martial arts capabilities, turning a vagrant swordsman after parting with Zhang Yi – a senior fellow student of his mentor.
 
Peng is one of the most promising young actors from Taiwan. He has played leading roles in numerous Chinese blockbusters including UNBEATABLE (2013), RISE OF THE LEGEND (2014), TO THE FORE (2015), he was nominated for the Best Actor for THE RISE OF THE LEGEND in Hong Kong Film Awards in 2015.
 
 
Wu Jing as Zhang Yi
 
A senior fellow student learning from Ma Feng’s martial art mentor, Zhang is a powerful martial artist, a responsible colonel in Cao’s army. He is also the bodyguard of the Warlord Cao Ying.
 
Wu is a former martial arts athlete born in Beijing, he was spotted by the famous Hong Kong director 
Yuen Woo Ping, and started filming in martial arts movies. His performance can be found in THE MUMMY: THE TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR (2008), LEGENDARY ASSASSIN (2008), SHAOLIN (2011), BADGES OF FURY (2013), WOLF WARRIORS (2015), SPL2: A TIME FOR CONSEQUENCES (2015.)

 
Yuan Quan as Zhou Susu
 
Intelligent, well-mannered and knowledgeable, Susu is Yang’s wife. She is good with martial arts and often handle issues calmly and thoughtfully.
 
Yuan is a Chinese actress and singer who graduated from the Central Academy of Drama, her performance along side with Chow Yun-fat in LAST TYCOON (2012) drew international attention, her other films include BREAKUP BUDDIES (2014) and THE GOLDEN ERA (2014)
 
 
Jiang Shu Ying as Bai Ling
 
A young and kind-hearted teacher, Bai Ling is determined to protect a group of orphans and to help them flee from Shaolun.
 
 
Liu Kai Chi as Liao

The sub-commander of the guardians, Liao is also a loyal friend and trusty assistant of Yang.


[ Personal Review ]

I personally feel that this is a very nice show.. it has my favourite actor, Louis Koo and it has popular actors like Sean Liu Qing Yun and Eddie Peng in the movie. The overall martial arts was very exciting and thrilling. Story plot is good and really worth a weekend movie to catch. At certain parts of the movie, it allows us to reflect on certain values that one has to possess. Louis Koo in this movie really portray a very bad-ass guy, and he carried it well. Perhaps he does have the bad boy look. He is really very very bad in the movie, as in being a bad person!

Its a movie not to be missed!
